Common dose: 250 mg every 6 hours. In severe infections, it can be increased to 500 mg every 6-8 hours. Primary, secondary and latent syphilis: 500 mg every 6-8 hours for 15 days. Non-gonococcal urethritis: 500 mg every 6 hours for 7-14 days.
